PAX: Maneater, JKnife, Honeysuckle, Valve, Pop
AO: Stage 7/28/25
By: Paradox
YHC rolled in on 2 wheels in the latest fashionable 3-5 minute tardiness of the June/July newborn period. It’s like the baby knows my humble neighbor will begin my warmup anyway so he politely schedules flip flopping and diaper filling for 5:05a, leaving Valve to pickup slack after a weekend of forced Allen wrenching and cat whispering. Passing the closed garage at his usual 5:08a he knows the math doesn’t look good and continues to pay excessive dues for his high quality anatomy education. .
The SV duty is especially impressive given YHC verbally assaulted him for years for the same tardiness. Some levels of friendship just aren’t covered in the HOA fees.
Warmup
5 strong at the stage barking out a deep baritone cadence. YHC topped off a thorough SV warmup with hybrid high knees and butt kicks then sent the pax on a short mosey. Had some unfinished board work that would soon be explained.
Went on a deep dive through F3nation slack recently to peruse for some new material. That’s where I encountered a version of today’s marker board beauty from Adele in Birmingham. 5 exercises and 50 x’s. Each x 10 reps and you work together as a team to eliminate all x’s. I was in love with it.
But you guys know me well enough to know I couldn’t leave it alone. So it was juiced up , two exercises added and I couldnt let ppl think our pax scared so I rounded it off with an extra 25 x’s.
(Just barely missed the strike zone but we’ll get to that later)
Additionally I thought it a good format to re invigorate

MMM Volume 75
NOW That’s what I call Humility
Background:
Desmond Doss was a US Army corporal who received the Medal of Honor as a conscientious objector. Refusing use of weapons or violence due to his beliefs he was assigned as a combat medic. During the WWII Battle of Okinawa his company was assigned the task of taking a steep plateau amidst the rock formations known as Hacksaw Ridge, due to its intimidating terrain and being riddled with enemy caves.
In a 12 hour period he saved 75 men , carrying them or hauling a stretcher up and down the ridge.
Unimaginable courage under unthinkable conditions.
To honor him and create a mindset of one hard task at a time we would face the ridge board together.
So as above
-Each X on the board is 10 reps of the exercise .
-You will complete 10 reps and run 1 lap then erase an X.
Rinse and repeat.
There are 75 x’s and 7 exercises
(5,250 reps for the mathletes)
That’s it.
Our objective was to empty the board by 6am. (Start at 5:25)
Narrator voice*:
They would not in fact , empty the board that day.
The Board :
Burpee
Merkin
OHP
Squat Jump
SSH
Curls
BBSU
A playlist of mostly Ozzy and other thunderous rock was started and Jackknife did not declare his like for a song until 5:59 am’s “drunken sailor”.
YHC and Valve took to the burpees early and often with HS everywhere all at once. Popeye crushed curls and OHP and had another 2 days of gas left at his methodical pace. Jackknife and Eater hung in the back heavy lifting and running the SSH/BBSU machine gun mowing down anything else that popped up.
In the end we failed and failed hard . (To be continued )
This task was set to be uncertain , unending, and damn near impossible which doesn’t look to different than some tasks we have in our own day to day lives.
How many did we complete you ask ?
Well we all did one.
And then we all did one more.

Start thinking about teammates.

No cool scuba stories about them yet but they are available until the neighborhood vandals sniff them out.
Honeysuckle prayed us out
Think Outside The Dox:
When asked about his effort to save 75 souls in 12 hours on hacksaw ridge, Desmond Doss first recognized the individuals he left wounded or deceased and apologized to their families .
Secondly he noted his prayer during that time:
“Lord, help me get one more”
Take that with you today.
Whatever your current cross may be.
Ignore the mountainous unknown pile of Xs , dont try to calculate the cost, dont rewind past mistakes or even question how your Q does math at his job.
Just focus on making the rep in front of you your best.
Flop on the ground, take a punch in the mouth, appreciate the Ironmen around you, get back up and then ask God to help you get one more.
