A group of HIMs came out to the Shephard of the Ozarks to better their families and found themselves smack dab in the middle of a beatdown. When Royal Deuce suggested a simple hike to an abandoned water fall which turns out is just a cliff. Now we know… We discovered a beatdown can be found when you least expect it. There were scary climbs, rocks falling that hate rabbits and a cave of goats that left us all in awe of the views.

Royal Deuce found a tour guide who was just crazy enough to tag along and off we went into the woods in search of a cliff, I mean, an abandoned waterfall. We shimmied across a gulch clinging for our lives from the deadly fall to the creek below. We climbed boulders the size of minivans and a ladder perfectly placed for the biggest Boulder. Nature truly finds a way, ya know? All to achieve something none of us knew was possible, the views from a cave that has sense been abandoned by goats.

We Ooh’d and Ahh’d before beginning the descent down. We then realized all of those difficult things we climbed were now in our way back but reverse. Climbing down boulders the size of small mountains and across a skinny bridge where one false move means imminent sprained ankles.

Utlitmately, we made it back alive and only our muscles ache. We learned it wasn’t the hike, the adventure or the cave that we search for but instead the friendships we made along the way. I’ll never forget that summer we spent risking it all just to see a cave once owned by goats.

I think we all found a little more appreciation for God’s beautiful creation and allowed the Lord a space to fill our hearts. Thank you Royal Deuce for pushing us today, we wouldn’t have gone without you!
