Arriving back to the stage for the first time since Saturday, YHC noticed the tent was still up from the BK500, but we all knew it was soon to be lowered much like Popeye’s remaining deductible.  While eyewitness reports and second-hand accounts of the various goings-on from the BK were being shared, the clock struck 5:15, meaning only one thing.  No one was going to stop talking during warmarama.  

YHC knew that there weren’t enough metal pins in the world this morning to put things back together.  But a good mobility Monday would be a start.  Unfortunately the PAX had to settle for a mediocre mobility Monday.  

Warmarama occurred.  

Thang 1:

Mosey to stop sign at the front of Rich Man’s loop. Using light poles as markers, run to next one, Carioca one way to the next one, Carioca the other way to the next one. Stop and wait for everyone. Do one stretch from below list then 20 squats and 10 Merkins. Repeat.  

Stretches: Popeye pigeon, Willie Mays Hayes, Willie Mays, YJ shoulder stretch, touch toes a la Popeye, triceps stretch.  Let’s say everything was 20 seconds per side or a count of 20.  

All in all, the PAX did 1.5 laps around the Rich Man’s loop by this point.

Thang 2: 

Then in Valve Corner, YHC unveiled a surprise attack on the PAX’s core.  We started with the one hundred (canoe position on your six, flap arms parallel to body 100 times). Then boat-canoe (x20), one leg version (sort of like mountain climbers on your back), one leg circles (on your 6, raise one leg and draw circles, 10 one way, 10 other way, switch legs and repeat). 20 wheezy Jefferson, 20 cadence count Freddy mercury.  For the one hundred, YHC tried to institute an alternate cadence (1-2-3-4-ONE, 1-2-3-4-TWO, …), but today wasn’t the day.  

Mosey back to the flag. We still had a few minutes left, so we moved from mobility, to core, to balance: stand on one leg while doing a 20 second quad stretch, then repeat on the other leg.  Finally get into tie-fighter position without arm circles, and try to stretch something.  

Valve prayed us out.
