Frozen wheels

There are a few things in life that bring a smile to my face, none of which include icy cold conditions and running. Never the less, RCR is here and shared suffering is the next best thing.

Running. After a defrosting mosey around peltch’s park, we made a half loop around the wandering track. YHC intermittently dropped cones along the way much like Hanzel, but this PAX has no intentions of lost in the woods. In fact, this hamster wheel will be reminiscent of Chevy in European vacation. “Hey look kids, there’s Big Ben, and there’s Parliament… again.”

The PAX were eager to start (Maneater) ready to dive in. The rules were simple. Each cone that was precisely scattered along the half mile loop were either 20 merkins (orange) or 10 Bonnie Blair (green). Perform the exicon approved movement, then mosey the half mile . When returning, MOT to next cone is Toy Soldiers. A strategically located deck of cards mid path provided a shortcut on the mosey. Draw a face card and access was free. Draw a number and that’s your burpee count. YHC noticed lots of burpees, also Honeysuckle who did the burpees but didn’t take the shortcut. As he an Roxbury passed their smiles resembled the Sans people closing in on their prey, a simple nod of approval from the “ runners” were graciously accepted.

The temps were frigid, the wind was ruthless, Goose was a biking machine who likely rode 100 miles.

Time was called and the mosey back to the flag was a little warmer.
COT prayers and gratitude were shared among all.
