Standard warmarama and then

The main thing:
A song plays. A song that sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday. Or maybe 50 years ago.
During the song, the PAX run through a circuit of exercises, ESOS (every song on the song). When that song ends, one lucky HIM is chosen to guess the year that song was released. And he gets to choose an exercise from the options on the board.
The PAX then completes that exercise, in the number of reps between the guess and the actual year of the song.
For variety, we alternated between 2 sets of ESOS exercises:
Set 1
• 3 Burpees
• 10 Air Squats
• 20 Mountain Climbers
• 10 BBS
• 15 Merkins
• 15 Curls
• 20 American Hammers

Set 2
• 3 Derkins N’diaies (2:1)
• 10 Apollo Ohnos (2:1)
• 20 Curls
• 10 Bonnie Blairs (2:1)
• 10 WWIII Sit-Ups
• 10 Nolan Ryans (each side)
• 10 Thrusters

Songs:
1. Them Changes (Thundercat)
The year guessed was somewhere in the 90s I think. There was some discussion that it could be a couple decades too late, but it was actually years earlier than the actual year of release, 2017.
2. Whole Wide World (Reckless Eric)
Guess was 2008 but this was actually released in 1977. We got to do lots of no-cheat merkins.
3. Invisible Ink (King Tuff)
This one certainly seemed older, but the PAX was catching on and thinking it was another trick, guessed later than they thought (2019). It was still a trick- this song was from this year— 7 toilet goblet squats
4. I Believe in a Thing Called Love (The Darkness)
During this one, there was a lot of chatter about if I wanted the year of the ORIGINAL artist, or this version. I decided to never give a clear answer to those questions, because this IS the original version. This song just sounds like an older song and that’s why it made the list. The dry-erase markers no longer working, Safety-Valve welded his coupon like a giant stylus and carved “2008” into the concrete at his feet. AOL mentioned “that’s about 4 years too late”. … he was right, but it was already written in stone and so we did burpees
5. Sail On, Sailor (The Beach Boys)
The young Duff(Man) got to guess this “Yacht Rock before Yacht Rock existed” track, which was great since this Beach Boys song sounded very little like the Beach Boys. Also- he had never heard of the Beach Boys.
His guess of 1999 (also carved into the concrete) was only 26 years off, and it was BBS. Because he guessed a year within my lifetime and the song was outside those limits, we also got to do 10 extra goblet toilet squats.

COT and Roxbury prayed us out.
