10/6/25 turnaround beatdown

Normal warm ups with extra terrible cadence from YHC coupled with lots of chatter from well, everybody it seemed like.

Rule 1 for beatdown If a pedestrian passes running or walking stop what you are doing and do a star jump for no reason at all.

Rule 2 if you hear YHC say 10/4 that is a 4 merkins for no reason at all

Phase 1 shutdown and clean unit
These include: Pull feed, Start cooling off reactors, Start EB washing distillation, Pull steam out of dehydro and start nitrogen circulating and continue to cool off reactors, Switch from EB washing to water washing, Cool off enough to stop nitrogen circulating and install fresh air blinds on TT-205 separating dehydro and vent gas and the flare, Drain all lines and verify they are clean, Start hanging blind tags and red tag to start with next process, Cleaning unit is opening and closing lots of valves and start and stopping pumps.

Indian run to baseball field and use centerfield as our fence wall to do wall sits and homeplate as our spot to do our exercises.
Partner up and Find a fence to sit on
One partner will sit on wall while other partner will run backwards to designated spot do 10 gas pumpers and sprint back.

Since we do this 200000 times in a shift when cleaning unit we will do 200 gas pumpers per joint venture. I believe we did around 100 due to time constraints.

Since we make polymer we sometimes need big hammers to close valves and unplug bleeder. Whatever you do don’t hit on brass ball valves or they might hit you back. Now now we are elbow planking and running to designated spots doing 2 is 1 American hammers 10 times. 200 per joint venture. Probably complete 100 ish do to time constraints.

Phase 2
Awesome now we prepared the unit for maintenance to come in and do all the stuff they spent months planning to do but forgot to tell operations exactly what they need therefore it’s not totally ready to go but operations finds away to make it work once again.
Here’s the senerio maintenance comes to make a vessel entry on the top of reactors to start removing catalyst therefore operator climbs 100 ft up the stairs to gets the sniff comes down prepares (green card) climbs back up there hangs green card comes down fills out permit. Climbs back up there with contractor and walks job out and then comes down hoping the job that they are going do doesn’t have trouble with safety which would require the operator to go back up the reactor and figuring out what wrong. Probably a missed checkbox or something else equally pointless and unimportant to job.

Alright get to levee via Indian run same partners one partner bear crawls up levee and then Back down while other partner is burpeeing AMRAP then switch. 100 burpees is our joint venture number probably did 60ish.

Do similar exercise but run up hill and do Apollo unos. We probably did 60ish again.

Phase 3 start up
All the work is done according to the front office and they tell operations start trying to start up. We start reconciling tags and verifying blinds are out. We find issues here and there like loose bolts or wrong gaskets on flanges are PSV not being put in the right places. Little small stuff that we can handle we do ourselves or we ask the contractors that have proved themselves reliable to fix the problems for us. My favorite part of this is after the work is done they remove the scaffolding to get it off of rent for budgeting purposes but us operators have valves there that we can’t reach so now we have to do some acrobatics to keep moving forward.

It’s still a lot of ups and down pressure testing systems and verifying the lines we need are ready to go. Then we start circulating nitrogen and heating up dehydro.

Indian run to stair way. Partner up again one partner will run up stairs and down the other side and run around civic center and head back to stairs where other partner is doing wife pleasers 300 per JV. The wife pleasers are for the M since we are headed back to work shift work instead of working every day or night. Well kinda happy since it’s still shift work and I don’t know if anybody M who likes that. We made it once around the civic center and then ran the side walk loop for the next one.

With extra time circle up and do a ring of fire with burpees till time runs out . We made it to 67 before time ran out.
